Having finaly been given a car and engine package to fight for the World Championship, Verstappen did not disappoint. In 2021, he won more races (10), scored more podiums (18), took more pole positions (10), and led more laps (652) than anyone else. In short, this was Verstappen's year and not even the mighty Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Hamilton could deny the 24-year-old his first worid title.
