Verstappen's prodigious talents have meant he has seen off a number of talented  teammates at Oracle Red Bull Racing down the years. So, when the team hired Perez, they knew they were getting an experienced campaigner who would not be fazed by Verstappen 's blinding speed. Instead, Perez has shown himself to be an excellent Sunday driver, albeit one who has had to make up for a relative lack of pace in qualifying.
